Fear is power because it's irrational. since my car accident, I've had panic attacks where I'm absolutely stricken with fear over what might happen. It's been 2 months and nothing has happened, yet as humans, we always fear what might disrupt our lives. It's irrational, because the change may be minimal. My 2 cents.
